Vitamin A, often known as retinal, is the first vitamin discovered. Vitamin A comes in two forms: retinol, which is found solely in animals, and carotene. Plant-derived B-carotene can contribute to retinal composition.
Food or medication grade Vitamin A palmitate is a combination of pure vitamin A (retinyl) and palmitic acid. It penetrates both the epidermis and dermis and is more stable than retinol.
FEATURES: It has been shown to minimise wrinkles and remove brown stains. It possesses antioxidant effects. It helps to keep the skin supple and plump. It greatly boosts skin collagen, thickness, and suppleness. Research suggests that it provides UV protection and can reverse solar damage to the skin.
Retinol is not the same as Retinal. Their key distinction is the speed with which they produce outcomes. Retinal is clinically demonstrated to work up to 11 times faster than retinol. Retinal has a higher exfoliation rate than retinol, resulting in more even toned and luminous skin. A maximum of 1% can be added to cosmetic formulations.
