The Dead Sea is the world's most saline body of water, having 32% more minerals than any other ocean (other oceans have just about 3% minerals). Dead Sea Salt contains bromides and lodine, as well as other minerals in dried form, including magnesium, sodium, calcium, and potassium. All of these minerals are believed to act together to help calm the body and soothe it, providing a sense of well-being.
Our Dead Sea Mineral Salt - Ultra Fine variation is white and has a table salt-like consistency. The abrasive texture of the salt lends itself to skin scrubbing (exfoliation) and can be used with Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate). We propose using Dead Sea Mineral Salt as a body scrub or as a soothing addition to your bath.
Caution: Before using magnesium baths, heart patients should consult with their physician.
To make a body scrub and soak, combine 6 drops Clementine, 6 drops Grapefruit Pink, 6 drops Mandarin Essential Oils, and 3 teaspoons honey in a small bowl with 2 cups Dead Sea Mineral Salt. Wet your body in the bath (but don't make it too hot or you'll fall asleep and not feel refreshed). Standing in the bath, grab a handful of the salt mixture at a time and scrub your entire body. Allow the mixture to fall into the tub. Soak for no more than 20 minutes, since this mixture is intended to refresh and rejuvenate. Massage your entire body with Jojoba oil mixed with your chosen essential oil mixture, then allow it to sink into your skin.
