Product name: Citric Acid-Anhydrous. Synonyms include beta-hydroxytricarboxylic acid and 2-hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic (continued) acid.
Country of origin: Canada.
EINECS number: 201-069-1.
Product usage: domestic and industrial.
However, our Citric Acid is generated from maize and sugar beets by natural fermentation and is GMO-free. An excellent antioxidant and exfoliator, it may also be used as a preservation system by adjusting the pH levels. Citric acid is also the most commonly used organic acidulate, most likely due to its weak acid classification.
When applied to hair, citric acid opens the cuticle, allowing cleaning products to penetrate more deeply. It is typically not recommended that you get artificial hair colouring done, unless you intend to remove the colour. It can be used in shampoo.
INCI: Citric Acid.
Directions: Use up to 30% in bath bombs. To adjust the pH, gradually add O.1% until the desired level is reached. Signal: Warning Hazard Statement(s): H319 Causes severe eye discomfort.
