Beeswax Beads are cosmetic grade and have been bleached and filtered to remove contaminants. They are then formed into little pellets for simple application. Our Beeswax Beads are made from natural ingredients and processed without the use of chemicals. The natural wax is melted and filtered through active carbon to remove the aroma and colour, which can range from white to off-white.
BENEFITS AND USES:
• Its crystalline structure binds solvents and oils together.
• It forms a protective layer to prevent sweating out of the formulations. Beeswax candles have a longer burn time and are easy to clean. They burn brighter and don't bend. Beeswax is used in art materials as a binder in wax paintings and a stabiliser in oil paints to provide solidity. It is a healthier and more natural alternative to mineral-based petroleum jelly. This ingredient is found in lip balms, glosses, hand creams, moisturisers, eye shadows, blushes, and eyeliners. It is a key ingredient in beard wax and hair pomades, providing a sleek and lustrous finish.
• It increases your product's spreadability. The acceptable concentration ranges from 1 to 12%.
Solubility: insoluble in water, but soluble in oils.
Caution: This wax has a melting point of 62°-67° C (143°-152° F). Overheating will affect the aroma and colour. Melt at a low heat, stirring gently, and use immediately to avoid poor quality outcomes like burnt odours and off-white colour.
To use, heat the water and oil stages of your composition separately. Melt beeswax in hot oil using a double-boiler pot. Before the oil phase cools, add a few spoonful of olive oil. Use a mini-mixer to combine both phases into a homogeneous mixture.
