Avocado Butter is intended for topical application and is made with 100% pure, unprocessed avocado oil. Added Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil creates an odorless white foundation that is soft but rich, melting fast when in contact with the skin.
Common Uses
Avocado Butter has excellent penetrating properties and spreadability on the skin, making it an ideal massage butter or carrier for treatment products. It imparts moisturizing properties to creams, lotions, and bar soaps while exhibiting low comedogenicity on the skin. It can be used in a variety of soaps and toiletries to increase moisturization and soften harsh, dry skin.
This product is soft at room temperature and gently melts when in contact with the skin; it can be used at concentrations ranging from 3% to 100% as a body balm. It is very beneficial to nails and cuticles and can be used to improve the emollience of a wide range of formulations, including lotions, creams, after-sun treatments, conditioners, body butters, luxury soaps, baby care products, and lip balms.
SHELF LIFE:
Store in an airtight container at cool temperatures (below 25°C) and away from light and moisture. Above ambient temperatures (e.g., 36 °C), the product will become liquid, but will re-solidify upon cooling with no loss of functioning. This butter has a one-year shelf life when stored properly.
The color of butter may fluctuate according on the production procedure and the season of the avocado.
RECOMMENDED USE:
5-20% in lotions and creams.
BALMS: 5-100%
BAR Soap: 5-20%
Hair Conditioner: 2-5%
When adding butter to creams and lotions, it may be required to gradually warm it until it melts or becomes very soft in texture and may be absorbed into the final product. Create a vortex with your cream or lotion and sprinkle in the melted butter, blending until thoroughly absorbed and smooth. The typical norm for soap addition is one tablespoon per pound (15 ml/500 g). As with most raw materials, outcomes may vary, so we strongly advise conducting small, lab-scale batches prior to commercial manufacturing.
Recommended storage
To keep its texture, refrigerate this butter in the refrigerator. It also becomes softer in warmer temperatures
