TYPE WAX Emulsifying wax is made from fatty acids found in plant oils. It's used to make face and body creams, lotions, cleansers, butters, conditioners, soaps, and candles.

To use, heat the water and oil phases separately. To dissolve emulsifying wax, melt it and add it to the heated oil phase while maintaining a steady temperature. Blend both phases together.
